Hi, everyone! I'm just dropping in to let everyone know that I might have to cut back a little on what I'm designing. I have started home-schooling my son. He has Asperger's Syndrome (which is on the Autism spectrum) with ADD (which really shows up when he is trying to focus) and OCD. He did really well last year (he ended up with a B average), riding the special bus. This year, however, his new helper teacher suggested he ride the regular bus. There was a little girl on the regular bus that was bullying my son and she told her parents a lie about my son and they called the school. Then, it just gets worse, the vice-principal literally interrogated my son, while he cried. Also, they took he phone away and sent it to the police to check (because of what this little girl told). While I don't mind them checking the phone (because I know it's all a lie and his phone is messed-up - you can't download anything), I was not informed by said vice-principal when he called me. Anyway, my son had been begging me to home-school him, so after all this happened, I decided to do it. He's very smart but, sometimes, he just doesn't get things. This way we can focus on what he has problems with and I can find ways to help him get things that he struggles with.
Sorry for the rant, but I needed you to know - in case my kits and blog train contribution shrink in size. Still planning to do everything I have been doing and making freebies for Pixel Scrapper. If anyone home-schools and has any suggestions, all are welcome.
Hugs,
Pauline
